This Help topic describes how to edit a web file from a remote web site.
In Aptana Studio, you can quickly edit and save your files from a remote
web site without having to use FTP. Editing files from your remote site
is useful if you want to make a few minor edits to one or two files on
your web site.
Prerequisite: Set up a connection to your remote web site (Adding an SFTP/FTP site, Adding a site connection).
Instructions
To edit a file from a remote web site:
- In your File View, expand your FTP or SFTP site connections to access your remote web sites.
- Expand the folder that contains the file that you want to edit, and double-click the file to open it in the appropriate Aptana Editor.
- Make your changes to the file.
- Save your changes.
Aptana will automatically save the file on the remote site for you.
